Green Monkey is a progressive/alternative/experimental rock band from Chino Hills, California. Over the past year, Green Monkey has toured extensively in California, Playing shows up and down the coast. Green Monkey’s fan base is growing at a rapid rate, due to strong internet exposure and widespread talk over the Internet and their live performances. Green Monkey is known for their energetic live shows and infectious, inspired hard rock sound that is all their own.
What stands out the most at a Green Monkey show is how excellent they express themselves and their ability to connect with the audience as well as they do. Playing live gives these guys energy and the audience picks up on that. The crowds become participants, and it fuels the band to dig in deeper, play harder, take risks, and explore new ground with their music. Fusing alternative and experimental influences, Green Monkey has managed to create a very unique sound. Founded just over a year ago, the band includes vocalist "Strider", as well as new keyboardist/vocalist "Mars" guitarists "Iz" and "Vicious V", bassist "Mic" and drummer "Spider". The six have been writing, rehearsing and gigging relentlessly, with well-received shows at Chain Reaction, The Whiskey a GoGo, The Key Club in Hollywood, The Viper Room, and performances in arena's from Los Angeles to San Bernardino and Orange County and Arizona.
